What a journey these two go on. Winter is so kind and lovely even if she feels like a broken soul after never having anyone in her corner her entire life.

Randall Ballistic Jr, known as BJ, is always positive and caring and has a lightness about him when he’s with Winter. He’s also so thoughtful to everyone he loves.

These two literally run into each other and while Winter tries to ignore BJ and cuss him out, he loves it and is immediately interested. He drags her out to skate and she has no idea she’s going to meet a whole group of friends and to be pushed completely out of her comfort zone.

I love Winter and my heart squeezed for her so often through the book but I loved seeing her journey and how she started healing. She’s a badass on the ice but off the ice she’s insecure about a lot of things.

After reading the books of BJ’s parent’s, he’s the perfect combo of both Randy and Lilly (I LOVED SEEING RANDY AS A DAD). I loved them in the Pucked series so I was so excited to see how BJ turned out and he’s hilarious but so mature and basically perfect. Their family is the complete opposite of Winter’s and talk through things and find solutions to problems instead of fighting and throwing blame.

I don’t want to give anything from this story line away but I will say there was the perfect amount of angst, heart and steam while sharing a story about overcoming hardships. It was also hilarious at some moments and I just loved every moment of it.

I loved this 2nd Gen Pucked series but I just know I’d love it even if I hadn’t read the Pucked series and in love with the parents of these books.
