Melanie Harlow is one of my queens when it comes to small town romance and she did not disappoint. This book is the perfect grumpy/sunshine and forced proximity book and as if it couldn’t get any better, it’s a single dad romance!
Austin is super grumpy and probably Melanie’s grumpiest man but underneath all the grumpiness is a heart of gold that always puts others before himself. He’s such a good dad to his two cute kids and doesn’t give himself time for fun between work and parenting duties… that is until Veronica knocks on his door and turns his world upside down.
I really liked Austin and Veronica together, she made Austin realise that he really could follow his dreams and gave him light to his grumpy side. When Austin finally gave into his attraction for her, it was fire. The chemistry was amazing.
This was such a fun and swoon romance and while you’ll fall for Austin and Veronica together, you’ll also want more from the whole family and friends they meet along the way! I can’t wait for more from Cherry Tree Habor. Melanie has written a great start to the series and has made me desperate for more from this world.
