Blurb:
Working as a nanny for the world’s grumpiest single dad should have been simple. Except I can’t keep my eyes off him. And he can’t keep his hands off of me.

Cade Eaton is thirteen years older than I am and barely looks my way. Until I get him into the hot tub one night for a game of truth or dare. Then all bets are off—and so are our clothes.

He’s gruff, a little rough around the edges. But broad-shouldered ranchers with calloused hands and filthy mouths are this city girl’s kryptonite. So who am I to resist?

But it’s in our quiet moments together that he softens. It’s when he takes care of me that I realize his hardened exterior is just a façade. It’s when I watch him go all sweet with his little boy that I really fall for him.

Someone convinced him once that his best wasn’t good enough. But I’ve never felt more cherished than I do in his arms.

My contract may say this arrangement is only for two months.

But my heart says this is forever.

                                                                       5 stars

Elsie Silver really did THAT! I’ve read all of Elsie’s books and I always think she can’t top her last release but she goes ahead and blows me away each time. I was so excited to read Heartless (I love a grumpy single dad) and it did NOT disappoint in any way.

This book is amazing. I loved Willa and Cade straight away. Their chemistry is so strong and flies off the page. Cade Eaton is looking for a nanny for his son, Luke, while he works/runs his family farm all summer. He doesn’t like anyone who applies so his brother’s fiancé, Summer, suggests her best friend who has come to town for the job. Cade isn’t excited about this, she’s thirteen years younger than his 38 but he trusts Summer’s word and decides to give Willa a chance.

Willa doesn’t have much experience with kids but the moment she meets Luke, she knows he’s special and they develop a connection straight away. The relationship between Willa and Luke is amazing and I really loved reading about them.

Cade has been burned before and just wants to focus on work and his kid, but Willa comes into his life and he can’t resist her. His grumpy defensive walls start to slowly break down every time he sees Willa smile. They’re so perfect together, their banter is hilarious and you honestly can’t go wrong. When they finally give in, it’s intense and so hot.

I love everything about this book and honestly can’t find any fault with it. Willa and Cade’s meet cute is perfect and their chemistry burns hot the whole book. Everything flows and Elsie has a gift of making you feel like you’re there watching everything play out in front of you. I feel like I’m part of the Eaton family and I LOVE it! I just know this is going to stay one of my top reads of 2022. I am so in love with Willa and Cade’s story.
