Of course I loved this story, I’m obsessed with anything Corinne writes and this is no different.
I LOVED Oliver. He’s so selfless and will do anything to make people happy. He’s held himself back from finding love after being peoples second choice while they choose people over him so when Maren comes crashing into his life needing him to be her fake husband, he is hesitant. Oliver is SO sweet and my heart broke for him always thinking he wasn’t good enough for anyone to choose him first.
When he sees Mason he is drawn to her instantly but he doesn’t want to be heart broken again so he doesn’t initially agree to the fake relationship… but he can’t let Maren down so he agrees to fake marry her to help give her a happy memory with her father.
Maron is a career independent woman with a smart and analytical brain, she works for a security firm that you would have met if you have read the Salvation series and her best friend who used to date Oliver is married to an Arrowood. I love seeing all the worlds connected like this.
I really loved Oliver and Mason together, they had chemistry straight away that flew off the page. They fit together perfectly and the way Oliver always supported Maren with whatever was happening with her father, made my heart burst. Their relationship felt like they had been together years and didn’t start off fake. Oliver really was the start of this for me, I fell in love with him
In true Corinne fashion, she throws in a twist that you don’t see coming and I loved the way it played out.
I really loved this book and think it was a great ending to the Willow Valley Creek series! I really recommend this series!
