Two years after the man she loved was killed in Afghanistan, Morgan Bartley is trying to put the pieces of her life back together. The reno on her dilapidated beach house in the Outer Banks might be just the distraction she needs to keep her debilitating anxiety attacks at bay and begin to heal her heart...if she can ignore the ridiculously handsome guy next door.
At twenty-eight, single-dad Jackson Montgomery’s life revolves around his five-year-old daughter and his job as a search-and-rescue pilot for the coast guard. He’s no stranger to saving a damsel in distress, and though his gorgeous new neighbor is clearly in distress, she’s no damsel. She’s stubborn as hell with walls a mile thick, and the dog tags hanging from her rearview mirror give him a pretty good clue as to why.
It doesn’t matter that their attraction is undeniable—she swore she’d never fall for another pilot, let alone a military man. There are some wounds time can’t heal, and some fears too consuming to conquer.
She’s a barely breathing heartbreak on the edge of recovery. He’s a crash waiting to happen.
Together they could have it all...if they can endure the coming storm.

Review:
5 stars for The Reality of Everything!
First off, let me just say that I have been waiting for this book since I finished reading Hollowed Ground in 2016. I love the Flight & Glory series so when I heard that this book was coming out, I was ecstatic and let me tell you, The Reality of Everything did not disappoint!
Morgan and Jackson stole my heart. I loved the way they properly met for the first time, it was one of my favourite scenes from the book. The chemistry between them was off the charts and I loved being on the journey of their relationship as it progressed. I think their relationship was written perfectly and it didn’t feel rushed at all. It was just so beautiful and hopeful.
Morgan has been through so much and has endured a painful loss and when we first meet her this had turned her into the shell of the person she once was. I could really related to some of the things Morgan was feeling and the way this story was written had me feeling like I was right there with her and experiencing all the hurt with her. I loved seeing her show just how strong she was and turn her pain into hope and love and finally into happiness. I really loved Morgan as a character and I finished this book feeling like she was such a force to be reckoned with who would do anything to protect the ones she loves.
I feel in love with Jackson pretty much straight away. Seeing him be an amazing father and continue to be a hard working, loyal and protective man he was made me love him super fast. I loved seeing how he acted with Morgan and how he really took his time with her and didn’t rush her into anything. He was there for her through everything one step at a time. As someone who deals with anxiety attacks myself, seeing the way Jackson took care of Morgan while she was having her attacks really made me emotional. Jackson is the perfect person for Morgan and the way he loved her was beautiful.
Rebecca Yarros has a way of making me cry with every book she writes and this was no different. Rebecca is the master of beautifully emotional storylines and I love every gut wrenching minute of it. The Reality of Everything made me super emotional. It tore me apart but also had me smiling through it. I finished this book in one sitting as I couldn’t put it down. I really loved every single minute of it no matter what emotions it was making me feel. This is a great love story and through all the pain it gave me hope and left me feeling pure happiness as it came to the end.
