4 stars for Beard In Mind!
I love Penny’s books and Beard In Mind didn’t disappoint. This is a unique story.
Both of the main characters in this book were super likeable. Shelly Sullivan was such a great heroine. She has absolutely no filter when it comes to the things she says. She will tell you exactly how she sees it. But with that, she is also super sweet. Shelly struggles with her confidence and insecurities as well as OCD. All she wants is to be ‘normal’ and not go through her constant struggle for perfection. She is a character unlike any I have read before and I thought she was a really complex character that Penny did a great job at writing.
Beau Winston was SO supportive of Shelly. He never doubted that she could overcome her struggles, he was there the whole way without leaving when things got hard. He stuck by her through it all. He is such a charming and sweet man. He’s watched his siblings find love and he’s been looking for something like his brothers and it’s not until he sees Shelly that he realises what exactly he’s been looking for.
Shelly and Beau have such great chemistry. I loved watching their relationship grow throughout the story and see their progression. I loved them together.
This was a really touching story about two people who are so perfect for each other and no matter what they face they will always do it together.
I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it if you love a romance!
