Let me start by saying that I’ve always loved Ginger Scott’s books since I discovered them. The Hard Count didn’t disappoint. I don’t normally read YA because I prefer being around the same age to the characters but I found myself enjoying The Hard Count. The two characters are a great fit and they are both good solid characters that you can fall in love with. There was the element of coming to age and first love that made you feel the butterflies that the characters were feeling. The story had a great uplifting spirit to it that makes you feel good. The book had some great scenes that really captured the emotions that the characters were feeling and made the reader feel the same. The story also gives a powerful message that makes the readers that doesn’t stop this book from being a sweet read that gives you all the feels. I would recommend to someone that loves their YA novels or is looking for a sweet read.
