Release Blitz: Going Down by Katherine Stevens

BLURB:

The plan for Cici Carrington was to steadily climb UP the corporate ladder, and hopefully do so without her skirt tucked into the back of her underpants. Unfortunately, there was no contingency plan for the aftermath of spending a night trapped in an elevator with a suit-wearing Elevator Sex God named Cole Danvers. A one…or two-time dalliance wouldn’t normally throw off the course of someone’s life…unless you find out you have to work together the next day.

To further complicate matters, Cici’s best friend is also her Human Resources Director. She has to hide her secret from every person she knows. Her only confidant is her one-eyed cat, and his loyalty is tenuous at best. Toss in an accidental mugging, a bungled disguise, secret meetings, and unintentional arson, and Cici’s beautiful, careful plan has fallen by the wayside.

Perhaps there aren’t any hard and fast rules in life. Sometimes you can have your cake and eat it too. Sometimes following the rules doesn’t get you ahead.

And perhaps sometimes you can get off between floors…

REVIEW
4 stars.

Let me just start by saying that this book is a great pick me up. If you’re want to laugh, swoon and laugh again then this is the book for you. Going Down is the perfect romantic comedy. Katherine Stevens has written a light and easy read that is packed with humour. I read this book in one sitting and I loved it.

Cici is a hilarious heroine. She’s laid back, funny and… we’ll say she’s internet famous because of her ‘incidents’. Cici’s relationship with her cat, Leroy is funny and gives something extra to the story. When Cici is paired with her best friend, Maggie then you know something weird and wonderful is going to happen.

Cole is a sweet hero. He has a great sense of humour and when he’s paired with Cici it’s a great match. Their conversations are hilarious. Cici and Cole meet when the elevator they’re both in breaks down and they’re stuck in there overnight and they find the positives in the situation.

Maggie was a secondary character but you’ll love her once you read this book too. She’s totally hilarious and the things she drags Cici into are out of the ordinary. She’s a great secondary characters and I can’t help but hope there is a book coming soon for her story.

Going Down takes you on the funny and eventful journey of Cici and Cole’s romance. It has you laughing in your seat and swooning at the same time. Katherine Steven’s has written a great story that makes you smile and get lost in the hysterical world of Cici and her journey with Cole. I would highly recommend this story if you're looking for a great romantic comedy.
